About Kristel Steenbergen
Kristel Steenbergen is a Dutch illustrator and graphic designer based in the Netherlands. She was born in a small fishing village right on the coast of Kenya and has lived in African and Asian countries, America, and Europe. She was always fascinated by nature and animals and they remain a strong inspiration for her work.
Kristel works for fashion and lifestyle magazines (such as ELLE and VOGUE) and brands, book publishers, and anywhere else her creativity is needed. Her love for the animal kingdom and graphic patterns are the foundation of her work. By merging pencil drawings and computer skills she creates smooth-lined, colorful illustrations with a twist of humor.
